What you will see and hear
Midnight Scoop features flashing weapon effects, explosions, bright lights, fast driving, camera motion, sudden sounds and pursuit by ghostly characters. Its playful presentation still includes tense horror themes. Gameplay videos on this website may show these effects too. Choose whether to watch or play based on your own comfort.
Flashing lights & photosensitivity
Flashing images and contrasting patterns can trigger seizures in susceptible people, including people who have not previously identified a sensitivity. If you have a history of seizures, epilepsy or reactions to flashing lights, consult a qualified healthcare professional before playing.
Stop playing and turn away from the screen if you feel unwell, dizzy, nauseated or experience unusual visual symptoms. Seek medical advice for concerning symptoms. Do not continue a run to test whether the feeling will pass.
Give yourself room to take a break
- Play in a well-lit room, at a comfortable distance from the screen.
- Take regular breaks and avoid playing when tired.
- Keep screen brightness and sound volume comfortable.
- If driving or first-person camera movement causes discomfort, stop and rest.
In online co-op, the world continues while a pause menu is open. Tell your friend when you need to leave. Your health comes before finishing a run.
For further guidance, read the Epilepsy Foundation’s information on photosensitivity. This notice is general information, not a personal medical assessment.
